Overview
Volckano developed the software and integrates it with kiosk and LED-wall hardware; installation and upkeep are part of the delivery.
The problem
Venue networks are unreliable and personal-information law limits what may be captured. An interactive device has to run all day under both constraints.
What we built
- One program carrying several exhibits, with Android and Windows builds
- All vision inference on the device; the vision pipeline makes no network request and keeps working offline
- Presence and head-count only; no face images stored, no identity recognition
The result
Data cannot leave the device because there is no path out. Venues update content from a back office; the device can be rented or bought.
