Compliance data: sensor readings to a submission-ready report

Volckano built the data pipeline, calculation engine and reporting layer for an enterprise reporting emissions against an external standard.

Field sensors deliver data continuously and the reporting standard is revised periodically. Re-collecting history after every revision is not sustainable.

• Time-series ingestion feeding a calculation engine wired to recognised accounting methods
• Rule versions stored separately from data, so a restatement needs no re-ingestion
• A reporting layer that produces submission-ready output with every figure traceable to its source

The system survived its first rule change without touching historical data. The same shape applies to other data reported periodically against external standards.
