On the afternoon of 2 November 2026, the Huanghuagang Science Park Administrative Committee of the Guangzhou Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone held an AI for Industrial Parks matchmaking session in Yuexiu District. It was co-organised by China Telecom Guangzhou Yuexiu Branch, the Yuexiu District Technology Business Incubation Association and the Yuexiu District Artificial Intelligence Industry Association. The district science and industry bureau, the park committee and the heads of partner parks and incubators attended.
The programme had two parts. The first covered AI applications and the policy on registering large models and algorithms, an integrated AI plan for parks, how basic AI services and tools can help parks, and smart investment promotion. The second was an open discussion.
What should parks compete on?
Guangdong ZhuiGuang Workshop Film Technology Co., Ltd. (追光工坊, PerseWorks) was invited to share its experience of running OPC communities and helping them with AI. The talk opened with one question: what do parks actually compete on?
- A landlord mindset competes on rent per square metre, vacancy and rent-free months. It usually ends in a price war, and what it attracts is tenants.
- An industry-operator mindset runs the park as an ecosystem: AI support for resident teams, help winning orders and earning revenue, and room to grow until teams become each other's suppliers and customers. What it keeps is an industry chain.
One-person companies (OPCs) and small teams have few people and tight budgets. ZhuiGuang Workshop's approach to running an OPC community puts ready-to-use AI tools and the ability to win orders at the centre of what a park offers, not just desk space. Its AIGC production and training run on AI platforms and tools built by Volckano.

Open discussion
In the open discussion, heads of parks and incubators sat together and compared notes on bringing AI services into their parks and connecting resident teams with business.
